NORWICH, UKAllseas has contracted AquaTerra Group to support decommissioning of EnQuest’s Heather Alpha platform in the UK northern North Sea.

AquaTerra will provide engineering, fabrication, access and construction personnel to complete the underdeck preparations for the topside removal.

On TAQA’s Cormorant Alpha platform in the region, the company previously assisted Allseas by removing underdeck obstructions ahead of removal of the topside. It then won a further contract from Wood for another program of work on the same platform.

In addition, AquaTerra has clinched its first decommissioning contract with CNR International for the Ninian South platform, again in the UK northern sector, supporting conductor decommissioning. This will involve deployment of lifting and rigging equipment and services such as the modular suspended access QuikDeck.
