Equinor has awarded TechnipFMC an integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation (iEPCI) contract for the Heidrun extension project in the Norwegian North Sea.

This follows TechnipFMC’s earlier integrated FEED study.

Equinor aims to upgrade current offshore infrastructure and extend the production lifespan of the Heidrun platform.

Jonathan Landes, president of Subsea at TechnipFMC, said, “This direct award highlights the mutual benefit of early engagement, which led to an optimized field layout.”
