HOUSTON —ProSep has entered a test and cooperative agreement with water deaeration provider Moreld Minox Technology for a new carbon capture system.
One of ProSep’s mixing technologies will be implemented, in partnership with Moreld Minox, Repsol Norge and the University of South-Eastern Norway, on the Minox Compact CO2 capture system, which has funding from Norway’s CLIMIT research program for carbon capture and storage technology.
The ProSep’s mixing technology will support solvent-CO2 kinetics and should help reduce the size and cost of CO2 capture facilities.
It will undergo optimization for capturing a planned 200,000 t per year of CO2 offshore gas turbines and will be scaled to suit a wide range of CO2 emissions.
The system should be applicable to various types of CO2 process streams.
