Vår Energi grows Norway carbon capture capability

SANDNES, Norway — Vår Energi has agreed to acquire Feistein CCS to support its quest for new carbon capture and storage opportunities on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

Feistein CCS is said to specialize in maturing large-scale, cost-efficient CO₂ storage developments.  The acquisition is a strategic fit, according to Ingrid Sølvberg, executive vice president of Technology, Drilling & Subsurface at Vår Energi.
