ONS 2024: IK Group launches new subsea pipeline repair company

Norclamp will focus exclusively on high-end, standardized clamps to maintain pipeline and production systems.

IK Group, an engineering company specializing in pipeline system integrity, has launched a new subsea pipeline repair company called Norclamp, which was spun off IK Group's repair clamp business unit from IK Subsea.

Norclamp will focus exclusively on high-end, standardized clamps to maintain pipeline and production systems.

The market-ready product line includes three standardized clamps: the Split Clamp, the Compact Clamp, and what it says is the industry's first Infinity Clamp. These clamps are designed for versatility, offering various dimensions and pressure ratings options. Norclamp says its technology significantly reduces lead times and costs, enabling the entire product suite to be available for emergency delivery.

IK Group invests in and supports exploration and production companies, and Norclamp will collaborate with these companies and the broader service industry to help achieve net-zero 2050 goals. It is estimated that Norclamp will create between 50 and 75 jobs.

IK Group is exhibiting at booth 7220 at ONS 2024 taking place this week in Stavanger.
