CGG changes name to Viridien

After shareholder approval at CGG's annual general meeting on May 15, it has changed its corporate company name to Viridien.

PARIS, France — CGG is rebranding and changing its corporate name to Viridien.

The company will launch the new Viridien brand, logo and website on June 10 at the upcoming EAGE Annual Conference in Oslo.

The company's focus includes geoscience, Earth data, sensing and monitoring, as well as new offerings in minerals and mining, CCS, and high-performance computing and infrastructure monitoring.

Viridien CEO Sophie Zurquiyah said, “Our new name, Viridien, connects our company’s history to our future, confidently positioning us for accelerated growth as an advanced technology, digital and Earth data company.”
