ABERDEEN, UK – Ashtead Technology has acquired Canadian-based underwater inspection specialist Welaptega.
Formed in 1990, Welaptega provides mooring system inspection and integrity engineering and has developed various technologies and services to mitigate failure, prevent damage, and manage integrity of offshore operations through a risk-based approach to asset integrity.
Earlier this year Ashtead completed ajoint venture with Forum Energy Technologies, creating what it claims is the industry’s leading independent provider of subsea survey and ROV equipment services with a fleet of 19,000 assets.
