HOUSTON - Hess Corp. has signed a non-exclusive 10-year global agreement with Wood Group to provide engineering, project management, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance, integrity management, subsea, and decommissioning services.
The two companies have worked together for more than 25 years on a wide range of projects worldwide. The stated aim is to remove waste and improve performance.
This has been an active month for the two companies. Days ago, Wood Group wasawarded a five-year technical support services for the Sakhalin-2 oil and gas project offshore eastern Russia. In the weeks previous to that, the company secured a new framework agreement to perform study engineering for North Caspian Operating Co.'s offshore and onshore facilities in Kazakhstan. Also, Hess contracted aviation group Bristow US to provide medevac and search and rescue services in the Gulf of Mexico, marking the latter company’s second contract to provide full services in the region. Hess joined Shell Offshore as the second member of the new consortium.
