Socotherm establishes Angola base

Socotherm has established the Socotherm Angola Ltd. Marine Base in Luanda to serve the local deepwater market. Socotherm inaugurated Socotherm Angola Ltd. in the presence of Angolan Minister of Petroleum Desiderio Costa, among other federal government dignitaries, at the end of May.

VICENZA, Italy -- Socotherm has established the Socotherm Angola Ltd. Marine Base in Luanda to serve the local deepwater market. Socotherm inaugurated Socotherm Angola Ltd. in the presence of Angolan Minister of Petroleum Desiderio Costa, among other federal government dignitaries, at the end of May.

Socotherm Angola is the sole Angolan marine base able to serve the local market demand in the offshore and deepwater sector, the company says, noting that its strategy is to be the first company to install a pipe-coating plant there.
