MacGregor to acquire lifting specialist

OSLO, Norway --Logistics group MacGregor has signed an agreement to acquire Norway's Hydramarine, a specialist in load handling systems for rigs and supply vessels.

Hydramarine's equipment includes large active heave compensated cranes, davits and winches. The company has an assembly plant in Kristiansand, but has also outsourced manufacture of components.
