LONDON -- RWE Dea AG has reached an agreement with Fairfield Energy to farm-in to the undeveloped Clipper South gas field in the southern British North Sea.

Under the terms of the agreement, RWE Dea will acquire 50% equity in part of blocks 48/19a, 48/19c, and 48/20a. RWE Dea UK will assume operatorship to develop the field, which holds an estimated gas volume of 12 bcm.
