Signal International awarded ISO 9001:2008 recertification

Signal International has completed three-year ISO 9001:2008 recertification audits for its Mississippi and Texas divisions.

MOBILE, Alabama -- Signal International has completed three-year ISO 9001:2008 recertification audits for its Mississippi and Texas divisions. The company completed recertification of its quality management system (QMS) with no major or minor findings and no non-conformances.

During the audits Signal’s Quality Management System was reviewed to ensure proper implementation, procedure compliance, and proof of continuous process improvements, as required by the ISO 9001:2008 standard.

The independent auditor awarded Signal commendations for above average performance in the following areas:

* Quality records
* Communications with employees
* Project materials control and welder traceability documentation

“This is an important milestone for Signal in achieving its world-class status,” says Dick Marler, Signal’s CEO and president. “The recertification to ISO 9001:2008 quality standards is a reiteration of Signal’s commitment to continual improvement, a cornerstone in our journey towards excellence.”
