Kongsberg Maritime has opened a new training and marine simulation center in Aberdeen.

ABERDEEN -- Kongsberg Maritime has opened a new training and marine simulation center in Aberdeen.
The new center will provide specialist training ranging from familiarization to advanced courses on dynamic positioning and offshore acoustic positioning using the company’s advanced simulation systems. Multi-beam, marine automation, process automation, and safety systems training is also available, the company says.
“We are making a significant investment in training in Aberdeen with the launch of this center,” says Dave Shand, GM of Kongsberg Maritime. “In the long-term, we aim to emulate our success in Norway and at our other training center throughout the world, where Kongsberg Maritime has established itself as one of the biggest names in maritime training.”
