LIVINGSTON, UK – Dubai Petroleum has awarded Cyberhawk a three-year framework contract to provide unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) inspections across the company’s offshore assets.

Cyberhawk secured the agreement, which carries an option for renewal on a yearly basis for two years, following the successful completion of a campaign for Dubai Petroleum in 2015. It is the first agreement of its kind in theMiddle East, according to CEO Chris Fleming.

Demand for these services is said to be growing throughout the region: the contractor claims to have performed the first UAV inspections in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and most recently, Qatar.

Elsewhere, the company has completed assignments this year in Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Qatar, and Australia.
