GLASGOW, Scotland– Seanamic Group has acquired the business and trading assets of IMES Ltd., an inspection and monitoring engineering solutions company, headquartered in Aberdeen, UK.
Formed in 2014, Seanamic provides integrated surface to seabed systems to the oil and gas, marine renewables, diving, oceanographic, seismic, and naval defense industries. Presently, it comprises Glasgow-basedCaley Ocean Systems and Houston-based Umbilicals International.
CEO David Cooper said: “The acquisition by Seanamic provides IMES with the financial stability and access to future investment needed to ensure the long-term stability of the business. All aspects of the old IMES Ltd. business have transferred to a new company, IMES International Ltd., providing a seamless transition and removing the risk to ongoing service delivery.”
