ADNOC logistics division expands into offshore support

ADNOC Logistics & Services has agreed to acquire Middle East offshore vessel owner/operator Zakher Marine International.

ABU DHABI, UAEADNOC Logistics & Serviceshas acquired Abu Dhabi-based offshore support vessel operator Zakher Marine International (ZMI).

ZMI is also said to own the world’s largest fleet of self-propelled jackup barges.

Subject to regulatory approvals for the transaction, ADNOC L&S will add 24 jackup barges and 38 offshore support vessels from ZMI, increasing the size of its fleet to more than 300.

With the acquisition, the company will broaden its service offering (including ZMI’s first offshore wind project in China), extend its regional footprint and create new opportunities with an industry-recognized partner.

ZMI will continue operating as a standalone entity under ADNOC L&S, led by CEO Ali Hassan El Ali.

The company has a diversified customer base across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and long-term relationships with NOCs and IOCs.
