ABU DHABI, UAE – Offshore Support and Logistics Services Co. (OFCO – Offshore International) has acquired seven support vessels to boost its offshore marine services fleet.

OFCO, which started operating in January, is a maritime logistics service provider jointly owned by Allianz Marine & Logistics Services and SAFEEN.

The new additions to the fleet comprise four anchor handling tugs, a 65-m (213-ft) landing craft, a supply ship, and a multi-purpose safety standby vessel.

OFCO offers offshore and onshore logistics solutions, inspection, repair and maintenance, and subsea services, including an offshore supply base serving oil and gas activities in the Middle East. It is supported by Abu Dhabi Ports’ land-based logistics.

Captain Maktoum Al Houqani, OFCO’s chairman, said: “We will continue to explore other potential vessel acquisitions and other related expansion opportunities in an effort to broaden our overall service capabilities, and to ensure we are well-positioned to satisfy the increasingly complex needs of the offshore market for years to come.”
