RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras plans to slim down its international presence next year, focusing its commercial operations outside Brazil at offices in Rotterdam, Houston, and Singapore.
As part of the process, the commercial activities of Petrobras Europe in London will transfer during 1Q to Petrobras Global Trading in Rotterdam, realizing savings of $13.5 million/yr.
Of the 18 overseas offices the company owned at the end of 2018, 10 have already closed, besides London.
As for Brazil, Petrobras will reduce its in-country administrative buildings to eight in 1Q, cutting costs by up to $30 million next year.
