ESBJERG, Denmark – Serica Energy has awarded Viking Life-Saving Equipment a three-year contract to supply personal protective equipment for its UK North Sea personnel.
Viking will work with Babcock Offshore to deliver aviation suits for Serica crews. Since last year, the two companies have also been working together for CNOOC Petroleum Europe.
According to Viking, the company’s latest aviation suit is 1 kg lighter than its predecessor, and is fitted with a radio-frequency identification device equipped to track its condition and detect any possible weak spots.
