PERTH, Australia – Woodside Energy has pledged support for its suppliers and contractors in the current crisis.
The company said it would work with its contractors on measures that could help them maintain employment for their staff where practicable.
In addition, Woodside is considering a range of mitigations that could include alterations to rosters and support for casual contractor personnel who may not be entitled to sick leave or payment from their contractor employer if affected by COVID-19.
The company added that it would support redeployment initiatives, identifying key contractor skill groups that could take up opportunities in industries experiencing labor shortages.
