Sevan Marine has settled with Piranema LLC, agreeing to pay $3 million to settle fines occurred to date by ANP, Brazil’s oil regulator.

ARENDAL, Norway– Sevan Marine has settled with Piranema LLC, agreeing to pay $3 million to settle fines occurred to date by ANP, Brazil’s oil regulator.
Sevan Marine provided the company with an indemnity against such fines in conjunction with the 2011 restructuring and sale of the FPSOPiranema.
Sevan Marine will remain liable for any future claims, although it said that neither company was aware of any pending or future claims at this time.
