Bredero lined up for Tyrihans coating

(Stavanger) Bredero Shaw Norge has a letter of intent from Statoil to insulate the Tyrihans production pipeline in the Norwegian Sea. The scope of the agreement, valued at around NOK 145 m, covers insulation coating for a pipeline with diameters of 16 and 18-in., and a total length of 43-km.

Steel line pipe will be delivered to Bredero Shaw's facilities near Trondheim. Insulation should start this fall, concluding April 2007, with the completed pipes being installed on the field the following summer. Tyrihans, with recoverable reserves of 182 MM bbl of oil/condensate and 34.8 bcm of rich gas, is due onstream in 2009 as a tieback to the Kristin platform.
