Talisman Sinopec Energy UK has awarded Lloyd’s Register a five-year contract for integrity management services.
LONDON – Talisman Sinopec Energy UK has awarded Lloyd’s Register a five-year contract for integrity management services.
“Ensuring consistent standards of integrity management across a major network of high-value offshore assets at differing levels of asset maturity is an increasingly complex task,” said Tim Walsh, SVP Asset Integrity Services at Lloyd’s Register. “Duty holders need to meet strict legislative and environmental requirements under growing public scrutiny, while continuing to satisfy business needs and shareholders.”
Lloyd’s work will cover corrosion, materials, subsea, pipelines, marine, mechanical, and inspection engineering related to the topsides process plant, pipelines, and subsea facilities for 11 UK offshore locations.
Talisman Energy Sinopec UK’s assets include more than 160 pipeline systems, 70 umbilicals, and more than 20 subsea fields connected to its various North Sea platforms. Additionally, the company operates an oil terminal at Flotta in the Orkney Islands, which is included in the contract scope.
