Dolphin Drilling receives LOI for drilling program off West Africa

Dolphin Drilling Ltd., a subsidiary of Fred. Olsen ASA, has received an LOI from Equator Exploration Ltd. for a five-well drilling program. The estimated contract value is $37.5 million including a mobilization fee of $6 million.

Dolphin Drilling Ltd., a subsidiary of Fred. Olsen ASA, has received an LOI from Equator Exploration Ltd. for a five-well drilling program. The estimated contract value is $37.5 million including a mobilization fee of $6 million.

The contractor plans to mobilize its semisubmersible rigBulford Dolphin for the 210-day commitment.

The rig is currently demobilizing from a Pemex commitment in Mexico. Immediately thereafter, the unit will transit to West Africa, pending final contract award.
