EBR to deliver topsides modules for Mero FPSO

SÃO JOSÉ do NORTE, Brazil– MODEC Offshore Production Systems (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. has contracted Estaleiros do Brasil Ltda. (EBR) to fabricate and assemble topsides process modules for the FPSOGuanabara MV31.

The scope of work to be carried out at the EBR shipyard in São José do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, includes the fabrication and assembly of modules which comprise the topsides water treatment system for the FPSO unit. The project will start in 1Q 2019 with a 12-month delivery schedule.

The FPSOGuanabara MV31, currently being built by MODEC, will be contracted by Petrobras through a lease and operate contract for the Mero field, located in the northwestern area of the Libra block in the presalt Santos basin, about 180 km (112 mi) off the coast of Rio de Janeiro.

When complete, the FPSOGuanabara MV31 will have a processing capacity of up to 180,000 b/d of oil and 12 MMcm/d of gas.

The field is being developed by the Libra consortium, which consists of Petrobras (operator), Shell, Total, CNPC, and CNOOC. The Libra production-sharing contract is managed by Pré-Sal Petróleo S.A.
