LONDONINEOS has re-routed gas production from the Clipper South field in the UK southern North Sea, following the shutdown of operations at the Theddlethorpe reception terminal on the Lincolnshore coast.

Production will now head through a new pipeline, subsea infrastructure and processing equipment connected to the Shell-operated Clipper platform and onwards through existing subsea pipelines to the Bacton terminal.

INEOS is also reportedly in talks to acquire ConocoPhillips’s UK North Sea oil and gas interests, which includes stakes in the Clair oil field, west of Shetland.
