    Eni to drill Goliat West in the Barents Sea

    The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority has approved appraisal drilling on the Goliat West prospect in the Barents Sea.

    OSLO, Norway – The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority has approved appraisal drilling on the Goliat West prospect in the Barents Sea.

    Eni Norge has contracted the semisubmersibleWest Hercules to drill well 7122/7-7 S in license PL 220 (blocks 7122/7 and 7122/10) starting in November or December.

    The program should last 30 days.
