    OSLO, Norway – Equinor has permission from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to drill the Gjøkåsen Deep prospect in the Barents Sea.

    The semisubmersibleWest Hercules will drill well 7132/2-2 in production license 857 in 304 m (997 ft) water depth.
