Bilfinger assigned Sverdrup flare change-out

Bilfinger Norge has won follow-up orders from Aibel for Phase 1 of the Johan Sverdrup project in the Norwegian North Sea.

STAVANGER, Norway – Bilfinger Norge has won follow-up orders from Aibel for Phase 1 of the Johan Sverdrup project in the Norwegian North Sea.

The company’s overall scope of work includes support for the offshore hook-up, installation, and completion of the drilling and process platform and the bridges connecting the field complex’s platforms.

Bilfinger will also now change out the flare tip on the riser platform. Its responsibilities include development of the concept and methods, and execution of the work by industrial climbers.

Total contract value is around Eur15 million ($17 million). The work at the field center will secure more than 150 jobs at Bilfinger in 2019.
