LONDONRockRose Energy has commissioned ERC Equipoise to assess remaining upside potential in the producing Blake field (RockRose 30.82%) and the nearby Tain satellite discovery (50%) in the UK central North Sea.

The partners aim to submit an initial field development plan by year-end.

In addition, Crondall Energy is working on RockRose’s behalf to review the FPSO options on theBlake and Ross fields.

This covers the potential for extending the life of the FPSOBleo Holm, operated by Repsol Sinopec, and bringing in a replacement.

At present, the plan is for theBleo Holm to remain on station until 2024 to extend the life of the fields served and to provide an opportunity for tying in other discovered hydrocarbons in the area.

RockRose claims extending production from Blake and Ross to 2029 would increase its reserves by around 5.5 MMboe.
