More South Pars platforms nearing completion

TEHRAN, Iran – Five new platforms are due to be installed by late September at the South Pars field in the Persian Gulf.

These will serve phases 13, 14, and 24 of the ongoing development.

Mohammad Meshkinfam, CEO ofPars Oil and Gas Co., told news service Shana the investments should help raise the field’s gas production capacity by 84 MMcm/d by late March 2019.

He added that construction of platforms C14, B13, D13 and A24 was so far 90% complete, during a visit to the Iran Marine Industrial Company (SADRA) yard.

A fifth platform, A14, is under construction at the Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Complex Co. yard in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran.

Meshkinfam added that two gas processing trains at the onshore refining facilities dedicated to phases 22 to 24 were due to come online by August.
