Dragados, Sif to collaborate on North Sea Tyra jackets

ROERMOND, the Netherlands – Dragados Offshore and Sif Netherlands have signed a contract for the supply of legs, caissons, and piles for two jackets for Total’s Tyra future development project in the Danish North Sea.

The TEG and THE platform jackets, to be installed 225 km (140 mi) west of Esbjerg, will contain more than 10,000 tons of steel, while the piles will contain 8,000 tons of steel.

The jackets will be 70 m (230 ft) tall and occupying a footprint of respectively 52 x 30 m (170 x 98 ft) and 32 x 30 m (105 x 98 ft).
