Aker BP gets approval for manned underwater operations

Aker BP has received consent from the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority to perform manned underwater operations this year at the Alvheim, Ula, and Valhall fields.

STAVANGER, NorwayAker BP has received consent from the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority to perform manned underwater operations this year at the Alvheim, Ula, and Valhall fields.

The underwater operations will be carried out by Subsea 7’s diving support vesselsSeven Falcon and Seven Atlantic, and the light diving craft Seven Spray.

Scheduled start-up is 3Q or 4Q 2018. The activities are estimated to last around 19 days.
