LONDON – The Saipem 12000drillship is heading to Morocco for an exploration drilling program in the Eni-operated Rabat Deep permits.

According to partner Chariot Oil & Gas, the vessel should reach the offshore location in around 10 days and will soon afterwards spud the RD-1 well.

Chariot also announced it had raised $15 million via a conditional share placement to help fund the costs of a well later this year on Prospect S offshore Namibia (the company is ‘carried’ by Eni for the RD-1 well).
