    Aker BP has the approval of Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority for a drilling program at the Ivar Aasen field in the North Sea.

    OSLO, Norway – Aker BP has the approval of Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority for a drilling program at the Ivar Aasen field in the North Sea.

    This covers use of the jackupMaersk Interceptor for drilling and completion of two water injection wells (16/1-D-6 and 16/1-D-7).

    Drilling should get under way next month.
