Offshore staff
NICOSIA, Cyprus – ExxonMobil and Qatar Petroleum (QP) will cooperate in an exploration and production-sharing contract for block 10 offshore southwest Cyprus.
A 3D seismic survey is already under way, and the partners plan to start exploratory drilling in 2018.
They have also agreed to work with Cyprus’ government to develop the country’s oil and gas skills.
QP President and CEO Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi said: “This agreement expands our international footprint into the eastern Mediterranean for what we hope is one of the most promising opportunities in the area.”
