Technip to manage Moho Nord tieback program offshore Congo

Total E&P Congo has awarded Technip an engineering, procurement, and construction contract for the Moho Nord project, 75 km (46.6 mi) offshore Pointe Noire.

PARIS – Total E&P Congo has awarded Technip an engineering, procurement, and construction contract for the Moho Nord project, 75 km (46.6 mi) offshore Pointe Noire.

Technip’s scope covers theMoho Phase 1bis brownfield development involving tiebacks to the existing deepwater Alima floating production unit and the shallow-water N’Kossa platform.

The company will provide project management, detail engineering, procurement and supply for modifications to Alima, and the two subsea tiebacks.

Work is due to be completed early in 2015. Additionally, Technip will assist Total in the offshore construction phase between 2014 and 2016.
