The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) is a member-based trade association representing the global wind energy industry. Its members include more than 1,500 companies, organizations and institutions in over 80 countries, spanning developers, manufacturers, suppliers, investors, utilities, research institutes and national industry associations.

GWEC works with policymakers, governments and industry stakeholders to support wind energy market development, advance policy frameworks and promote investment in both established and emerging markets. The organization also provides industry research, market intelligence and analysis.
