OSLO, Norway — Kongsberg Maritime will supply an equipment package for commissioning service operation vessels (CSOVs) for offshore wind developments.
All are under construction at Ulstein Verft in Norway. Two are for Bernhard Schulte Offshore and the others for J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
The 90-m-long vessels are all of the Ulstein SX222 design. Kongsberg Maritime’s scope involves integrating US 205 azimuth thrusters with its K-Power DC Hybrid solution, the K-Chief EMS/IAS and K-Line control systems for smart energy management.
All the vessels will be controlled via a K-Master Bridge setup covering K-Bridge Navigation, K-Thrust and a K-Pos W2W DP system.
