OSLO, Norway – Panoro Energy has approved BW Offshore’s proposed work program and budget for development of the Dussafu oil fields offshore Gabon.
The partners plan two initial horizontal wells at the Tortue field in the Gamba and Dentale reservoirs and an appraisal side track on the northwest of the Tortue field.
Both production wells will be tied back to a leased FPSO via subsea trees and flowlines.
Currently, the partners are commissioning an independent review by consultants Netherland Sewell and Associates to update the reserves estimates and to move contingent resources to reserves, further to the recent final investment decision.
They are targeting first oil during the second half of 2018.
