ABERDEEN, UK – Awilco Drilling’s semisubmersible WilPhoenix has continued operations for TAQA Bratani at the Sturgeon, Devenick, and Pelican locations in the UK northern North Sea.
The company’s other semisub remains stacked in Invergordon, northern Scotland.
However, Awilco is optimistic of better prospects and a stronger UK floater market in theNorth Sea from spring 2018 onwards.
Although interest remains influenced by seasonal summer programs, there are indications of term requirements for floating rigs in 2018 and 2019.
