    Technip to provide FEED for China’s first TLPs

    CNOOC has awarded Technip/China Offshore Oil Engineering Co. a front-end engineering and design contract for two TLPs.

    HOUSTON – CNOOC has awarded Technip/China Offshore Oil Engineering Co. (COOEC) a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract for two TLPs.

    Technip’s operating center in Houston will manage the FEED program, which covers the design and engineering of the topsides (including two drilling rigs), hulls, moorings, and riser systems.

    All work is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
