Technip COOEC to install lines at Panyu field offshore Hong Kong

A consortium of Technip (Paris:TEC) and Offshore Oil Engineering Co. Ltd. (COOEC) has won an engineering, procurement, installation, and construction services contract from China National Offshore Oil Corp.

PARIS –A consortium of Technip (Paris:TEC) and Offshore Oil Engineering Co. Ltd. (COOEC) has won an engineering, procurement, installation, and construction services contract from China National Offshore Oil Corp.

The €200-million ($260.5-million) contract is for a deepwater gas development inPanyu field 150 km (93 mi) south of Hong Kong.

The development is to have a new subsea production system of six wells tied to a new central processing platform. The consortium will supply and install 10-in. and 6-in. diameter clad-lined pipelines, steel-tube umbilicals, and associated hardware.

Offshore installation is scheduled to be completed in two phases during 3Q 2013 and 2Q 2014, using theDeep Orient, one of Technip’s deepwater construction vessels, and the HYSY 201, COOEC’s pipelay vessel.
