Goliat FPSO on its way to Barents Sea

Eni Norge’s Goliat FPSO has sailed away from the Hyundai Heavy Industries yard on its way to the Barents Sea.

ULSAN, South Korea –Eni Norge’s Goliat FPSO has sailed away from the Hyundai Heavy Industries yard on its way to the Barents Sea.

This is thelargest cylindrical FPSO built to date, weighing 64,000 tons and measuring 112 m (367 ft) in diameter and 75 m (246 ft) in height. It is designed to store 1 MMbbl of oil.

It will be installed on location 85 km (53 mi) north of Hammerfest, Norway, with startup scheduled by mid-year.
