Eni enlists Aibel for Goliat offshore hook-up

Eni Norge has awarded two more contracts for its Goliat development in the Barents Sea, 85 km (53 mi) northwest of Hammerfest.

SANDNES, Norway – Eni Norge has awarded two more contracts for its Goliat development in the Barents Sea, 85 km (53 mi) northwest of Hammerfest.

Aibel will perform preparations prior to towing the FPSO offshore, various offshore hook-up activities, and will also assist final commissioning and start-up of theGoliat field during 2015.

Hyundai built the cylindrical Goliat FPSO in South Korea. Mechanical completion and commission activities are in progress.

Eni has contracted Oslo-based pump supplier Eureka for services including overhaul and repair of pumps and related equipment on the platform. The agreement runs for three years with extension options.
