Aptomar to service offshore Goliat field development

Aptomar, who has provided Eni Norge with the marine surveillance and oil spill detection and management system for the Goliat field development, has signed a long-term service agreement with the operator.

TRONDHEIM, Norway – Aptomar, who has provided Eni Norge with the marine surveillance and oil spill detection and management system for the Goliat field development, has signed a long-term service agreement with the operator.

The service contract provides an advanced spill detection and management system on theNorwegian continental shelf as part of Eni Norge’s emergency preparedness with regard to search and rescue operations, safety around the platform, and oil spill detection and management.

Under the agreement, Aptomar will provide round-the-clock technical support, continuous monitoring, preventive maintenance and service, and annual re-certification, as well as refurbishing, repairs, and spare parts for systems and equipment delivered to the Goliat field in the Barents Sea.

Aptomar will also provide ROV interface to theNjord Viking and Esvagt Eurora supply vessels, plus service for the tactical collaboration and management system that it has delivered.

The service agreement is for a fixed period of three years with an option to extend it for a further two-year period. No financial details were disclosed.
