Technip wins two subsea contracts

Maersk Oil has awarded Technip two contracts for the Valdemar & Roar Gas Lift project and for the Rolf Replacement Pipeline project, both on the Danish continental shelf, approximately 250 km (155 mi) offshore Esbjerg, Denmark. Contract values were not disclosed.

PARISMaersk Oil has awarded Technip (Paris:TEC) two contracts for the Valdemar & Roar Gas Lift project and for the Rolf Replacement Pipeline project, both on the Danish continental shelf, approximately 250 km (155 mi) offshore Esbjerg, Denmark. Contract values were not disclosed.

The scope of work will include the fabrication and installation of two riser caissons on the Valdemar and Roar platforms, fabrication and installation of an 8-in., 18-km (11-mi) flowline between the Rolf A and Gorm E platforms, pipeline trenching and protection operations, fabrication and installation of 34 spools, and offshore commissioning.

Technip’s operating center in Oslo, Norway, will execute the project. Vessels from its fleet, including theWellservicer diving and multi-support vessel, will perform the offshore installation next summer. The flowline will be fabricated at Technip’s spoolbase in Orkanger, Norway, and will be installed by the Apache II, from Technip’s fleet. Caissons and spools will be locally fabricated in Denmark.
