DUBLIN, Ireland – Petroceltic plans to drill two wells this year in the Black Sea offshore Romania.

One, rescheduled from last year due to rig maintenance, will be on theMuridava license, and another will be on the Est Cobalcescu block (Petroceltic 40% working interest). The drilling program on the Muridava license should then resume in early 2014.

Last year’sSouth Cobalcescu-1 offshore exploration well did not encounter commercial hydrocarbons, the company adds, but it did provide information for this year’s wells. Both wells will test various geologically independent plays and prospects.

In the Bulgarian offshore sector, the company plans no major investments until 2015, when theKavarna East development is due to be completed.
