MOSCOWEurasia Drilling Co. (EDC) has a full program of offshore drilling scheduled in the Caspian Sea over the year ahead.

In the Turkmen sector, the jackupSaturn recently started a new three-year contract for a long-term program for Petronas Carigali.

EDC’sAstra jackup drilling rig has a 12-month program in the Russian and Kazakh sectors.

The company will continue to provide drilling services onLukoil’s Yu. Korchagin field ice-resistant platform in the Russian sector, such as drilling complex extended-reach wells.

A third jackup, the newbuildNeptune, is being assembled in a shipyard in the Caspian Sea, and is expected to start operations this summer.

Mercury, EDC’s fourth jackup, is under construction and is expected to be completed toward end-2014. First rig component shipments are due to start at the end of this year.
