HOUSTON – Rowan Companies, Inc., reports that the rig EXL IV was launched from the Keppel AmFELS dock in Brownsville, Texas, on April 10. It is set for delivery, after the final construction phase, in January 2012. The Rowan EXL IV is a LeTourneau Technologies EXL class jackup, and has a hook load of 2 million lb; a leg length of 444 ft; and a maximum drilling depth of 35,000 ft in 320 ft of water. 04/13/2011
